Some day I will return to blogging here...for now life has just been too hectic.

And where does the time go....

Yep, it's been minutes, hours, days, weeks and months since I posted anything.  I surely spend my time reading other people's blogs, so you would think I would get the urge to put up a new post here.

So, without further excuses - I will just post a few pictures of life - Ryan just a few weeks ago (from my phone, so not very clear); Our crazy cat, Paws, and A project I wish to start - sweater pumpkins ...

Strength

Strength is needed and hopefully with more time and a new member of the support team he will find the way to getting better so that he can get back to his journey at college.

New Year

I have continued to ignore this blog - and my New Year Resolution is to post atleast once a week...only time will tell if I stick with it!

Montana

Tongue in cheek here -- We just got back from Montana -- fly fishing!! Stayed at the Stone Fly Inn - owned by Dan "Rooster" Leavins...fished at the Big Hole; Beaverhead; and the Jefferson Rivers...had a fab-u-lous time!

...I will post some FISH pictures later this week.

Twin Bridges, MT - great people, great guides (except for one young fella) and great food.

I (might have) pulled in the biggest fish - between Pete and I - Brownies - but it was because of great guides - Willow and Tommy - really genuinely great guides.

Pete and I had a really fabulous time - it's the first time we've been on a trip as empty nesters.

Ryan is doing well at Purdue - has a Fall break, so no classes on Mon and Tue - his roomie went home so he's hanging tight on his own...I (might have) suggested he change his sheets while he has time (but) he's a boy and (maybe) doesn't see the point...hey, he says "Mom, the loft is 7 feet off the floor, it's not that easy!"

He's there...

Yes. he was strong enough to leave home and start his newest journey...we miss him. Paws misses him. It is oddly quiet in our household even though he was a quiet child. He has kept in touch with us and calls often. Oddly, and we are very surprised by this... he is rushing fraternities!

Summer

Summer has been full of ups and downs - in temperatures and with life.

Praying that my son is healthy enough to go to college in a few weeks. We continue to struggle with an ED. Been working with a team since February and we hope to engage the same sort of team at the college he'll attend. Please pray.

Happy Thanksgiving Wishes to all my family ... we are in CT this year and just enjoyed a fabulous take-out dinner from Sharon, CT. Can I say the turkey was to-die-for! Plus the best mushroom stuffing; caramelized onions and leek-carrot bake!

Won't be long and I'll be spending more time at this place.....swung up to TC last weekend and the weather was fab-u-lous.

I guess I'm just "not in to this blog" anymore... or I have a life that's been keeping me away from the laptop these days or 'what' I don't know.... I've even noticed that some of my old favorite blogs that I used to read have ceased to be as exciting to follow.

We have had tons of snow in the last few weeks - - - plenty of snow blower action. I have enjoyed shoveling snow and was tempted this last week to build a snowgirl (why would I want to build a snowman?)but that enthusiasm died out when I spent over two hours clearing the heavy snow on the first of several days.

Fortunately, the last few days have been sunny and warm(er) and the days are growing longer as we creep toward Daylight Savings Time.

I actually even ran outside last week instead of using the elliptical inside.

Ryan has agreed and committed to running the Dexter Ann Arbor Run - 5K with me in June. He said he'd only run if he didn't have to keep pace with me...duh, he's just a tad bit faster these days at his pace time. Soon I'll be off to Running Fit for a new pair of shoes - well past their time with my old ones, but I have this terrible habit of using the same pair for a year instead of changing them out every 4-6 months. (I know, I chastise others for doing the same thing!).

I might upload and post some pics soon - but, for now, aiming toward the greens of March -

another year has passed us by . . . we missed one extended family Christmas this past Saturday...Ryan was wrestling at an individual tournament in Melvindale. He did not place at this event... one 1, lost 2.

I am sharing a few glimpses of the new, fresh paint colors in the house...

Football season is over and now he is determined to push his body and try wrestling. He is a driven young man ~~ we're so proud of him.

Thanksgiving is a few days away - - keeping busy with work (love my new job) and all of life's other complexities... ooh, maybe snow flurries later this week.

the end of a season

Seems I've been consumed by a new job (part time right now) and football. Season ended last Friday with a team win - - 3-6 overall and 1-5 in the league.

...this past weekend - - unfortunately, another loss in the football arena...Ryan only got in for 3 plays...can't figure out the logic of it but he continues to keep his heart in the game.
